Gary Sill Music, Vancouver.  www.garysillmusic.com

David Murray has designed three music recording studios in collaboration with his clients including the 1991 Bill Eames recording studio and the 2003 Hull Block Studio (see Projects), both in Edmonton . The latest is a studio in Vancouver for musician client Gary Sill (see the “Tea Swamp House”). Gary wanted a recording studio incorporated into his new residence that was constructed for him and his wife, photographer Carole Harmon. The studio is illustrated in Gary’s website. The studio is a box-within-a-box concept, completely isolated from the remainder of the house. It adjoins the living room on the main floor as both a recording and performing venue.
